The start of 2025 was nothing short of exhilarating for Hamil Bros Studios. We’ve embarked on numerous projects, each bringing its own unique challenges and rewards. Among these, our collaboration with the Tyler Chapter of the American Heart Association stands out. Through this project, we have had the privilege of capturing the powerful narratives of heart disease survivors, stories that inspire and resonate deeply with audiences everywhere.

Our recent shoot was a testament to the resilience and spirit of the human heart. From the early morning light that set the scene for the Pryor family’s interview to the dynamic storytelling of the Dike family’s journey, every moment was crafted with care and precision. As we continue to share these stories, we are reminded of the profound impact that storytelling can have in connecting communities and fostering understanding.

Streamlined Setup

Our recent project was a breeze thanks to our familiarity with the location. Having shot there the previous year, we were able to streamline our process, traveling across the state and setting up swiftly. This efficiency allowed us to maximize our shooting time and capture the essence of the stories we aimed to tell.

Seamless Transition

Utilizing a known location not only saved time but also provided a comfortable environment for our team. We were able to focus on the creative aspects of the shoot, ensuring that every detail was perfect for the day’s filming.

With everything in place, we were ready to hit the ground running the next day. This preparation enabled us to dedicate our full attention to capturing the compelling narratives of our subjects, ensuring a successful shoot from start to finish.

Capturing the Pryor Family

Creating the Perfect Ambiance

The day began with the Pryor family, and the overcast skies presented a unique challenge. To mimic the gentle glow of morning light, we strategically placed a color LED fixture outside the window. This setup allowed us to create a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for capturing the heartfelt moments of Brayden and Bridget’s story.

Dynamic Action Footage

Following the interview, we transitioned to capturing action footage. The clouds parted just in time, providing us with beautiful natural light to film Brayden and Bridget engaging in their favorite activities. This serendipitous break in the weather allowed us to capture authentic, joyful moments that truly represent their bond.

We found a picturesque park nearby, where we spent an hour filming under ideal lighting conditions. This setting not only enhanced the visual appeal of the footage but also added a layer of authenticity to the narrative, showcasing the genuine connection between mother and son.

After completing the first interview, we strategically allocated time to transition to our next setup with the Dike family. This careful planning ensured a smooth workflow, allowing us to maintain our creative momentum throughout the day. Our team expertly adjusted the lighting and camera angles to capture the essence of the Dike family’s story in a fresh and engaging way.
