If a pretzel could be a movie, it would be Pulp Fiction.
Pulp Fiction is definitely not for everyone. However, if you want to watch it, there are certain perameters that would help you not hate it:
- Watch it with someone who has seen it and loves it
- Make sure that someone isn’t so much of a hypist that they will talk over the whole thing, but that they are willing to explain when things get confusing.
- Turn off your phone and pay attention, or you will miss key elements.
If you’re expecting a bunch of good one-liners, you will probably be disappointed, although, you can find those of like mindedness if you utter the words “Zed’s dead, baby. Zed’s dead.”
Personally, I love the movie. It’s bizarre, it’s violent, and it’s funny in very subtle way.
It’s been an interesting influence on my story-writing in the way that the stories. The way it takes all of these separate stories and intertwines them right in front of you without you having the slightest clue it’s going on. It’s pretty crazy.
Check it out. Have a laugh and a head scratch.
